I'm still a pretty novice linux user and at work I have a dev box I ssh/sftp into to do my development work, I've been using Kate to do all my editing and the sftp works very well and transparently but I'd really like to be able to use the CTags to make finding function definitions and whatnot easier. I enabled the CTag plugin and built the ctag database on the dev box but Kate won't let me load the database from a remote location, stating that I can only select local files. I tried copying the CTag db to my local file system but this obviously did not work since the folders don't exist on my local machine.
Does anyone know of a way I can get this to work?
