hey everybody, I just installed AWN for the first time and am trying out some different appearance customizations in general. I guess I have a few general questions as well, so maybe you can help me out.

Is there a proper way to change the default icon for an application? Right now I've only changed them by right clicking on the menu bar and clicking "edit menus" and then changing them in there. (I have the icons stored in /usr/share/pixmaps as well as ~/.icons

For AWN I simply right clicked on them and selected change icon.

But whenever I add a new application to the dock or remove one from it, my icons get changed back to their originals. Any help?

I noticed that I do have one icon that is not changing when I add/remove launchers from the dock. Does it matter what the file format is of the icon? The one that's not changing is a .png, while one of the one's that does change is .svg
