Is it possible to have the update manager send notifications via email? My main Ubuntu system (in process of upgrading to Karmic Koala) is usually only accessed via web applications over the LAN. So sometimes its a long time between logging in, which means tons of updates when I finally do them. Also, there seems to be more risk of a problem that is tougher to fix (compared with doing a few at a time), and of course security issues are left longer than they should be.
I don't fully trust having updates installed automatically, having been burned by that in the past. So I'd just like to have the update manager email me with a notification - perhaps when there is a critical or security issue.
Is this possible?
