Can anyone tell me where I can get an ISO image for an Ubuntu 9.10 LiveCD, that is, one with which I can run Ubuntu without modifying my computer? I have a LiveCD for 8.04.0, but it won't boot on my computer. 9.04 will boot so I'm hoping the 9.10 will boot also.
Thanks,
Mark

The image as it is now is useless if you have an NVidia graphics card as the nv graphics driver crashes.

http://www.ubuntu.com/testing/lucid/alpha1 says:

The nv driver used by default for nvidia video chipsets on the LiveCD is reported to lead to X server crashes. Investigation of this issue is ongoing and should be resolved for Lucid Alpha 2. As a workaround, users can boot with safe graphics mode" to use the vesa driver. (494627)

It is still alpha, you know. But if you have an other graphics card this is probably OK :)

The thread is about 9.10 not 10.04 - and even if it was alpha3 has been released now :) which uses nouveau and not nv.

FUD. Lucid worked with my Nvidia card. In the Alpha one there is always a problem. The OP wants Karmic, not Lucid.

Yes, I apologise. It's about 9.10, not 10.04. Sorry for this.
