Anyone handy installing Linux on Macs? I've never done it before, and its a little more involved than I thought. I've followed what I can piece together from google, but now I'm stuck.
Basically I've gotten into open firmware, and changed the boot order to look for USB drives to boot from. This doesn't work though. Also simply typing "boot usb1\disk:2,\\:tbxi" gives me an error "Cant open: cd:,\install\yaboot Cant open device or file"
I've gotten my hands on a PowerBook G4 1.42GHz 1GB RAM with Mac OS X 10.4.11. Oh, and a USB install is one of my few options, as I don't have another Mac to target-disk install from, and the .iso is too large for a CD.
