A win-win, situation.

Good stuff.

I doubt the Wii could handle it.

Pretty cool though, nexuiz is coming to consoles.

Everyone knows the Wii can't handle Nexuiz, just like how it can't handle Call Of Duty Modern Warfare... oh wait...

Turn the graphical quality and resolution down, and the Wii will run it. Rewrite the engine specifically for the Wii and it'll even look good (see The Conduit).

Agreed, but it probably won't be a commercial success. It doesn't bear much resemblance to the sorts of games we've been seeing on consoles. Unreal Tournament 2004 has a lot more variety than Nexuiz (I haven't played 2007 yet, no Linux version) and that's the kind of gameplay that gamers have come to expect from commercial games.

If there's a PS3 or Wii version, I'm buying it, just because it's a fun game and therefore worth the cash. Regardless of if it's a full price title, or a PSN/WiiWare style thing, though I can see the latter being more likely.

No, it's an acquired taste. I hate playing FPS games on PC, since I've always played them on consoles.

i would like to see the art style of nexuiz changed a bit, too bad they cant/wont adopt the new style of the console version; it looks pretty sick.

This is how all of the game developers should do it.

According to this (http://piratepad.net/XuNWiA3KMT) the nexuiz name and domain have been licensed to a proprietary company as part of this and it looks like nexuiz is going to be forked between open/closed source versions. The official statement here (http://xbox360.ign.com/articles/107/1073381p1.html) doesn't say much.
