Hi guys,
I bet one or more of you can remember the name of the distro which was put together for the purpose of computer forensics.
Can you spill the beans ?

The Back Track 4 distro has a lot of forensic apps. It is also a pen testing distro and is current. It runs on 8.04. Most of the apps you need you can install on your Ubuntu. Then when you are happy with it you can bake a live disk for the times you do not wish to disturb the subject.

The first thing that popped up in my mind when I read forensic, is an image enhancement software for all your surveillance camera zoom and identification needs.

What tools were you looking for? There's already lots of forensic apps that might fit the bill.

I've had the pleasure of seeing detectives at work, and their choice was Helix. YMMV

Nubuntu was the Ubuntu forensics distro. Not bad but not much for me.
