Well, I haven't seen any threads on this in a while. So have any DVD burning applications become more developed, or are there any new ones?

One of the Windows apps I find hard to go without is ConvertXtoDVD. Maybe because it is simple, easy, fast, and it works.

So, any suggestions?

DeVeDe may be not as ingeniously simple and effective as ConvertXtoDVD, but it worked just fine the couple of times I've used it :)

Hm.., I didn't know DVD burning apps were going anywhere. What's wrong with the existing ones?

Just found 2ManDVD. :)

Haven't tried it out yet, but I'll give it a shot and see if it compares.

I do most of my video & DVD stuff in Windows, but have been known to use DeVeDe on occasion when I don't need to worry too much about editing.

I use Gnome exclusively, but had to make an exception for K3B. IMHO, it's the best best cd/dvd burning software out there for Linux.

K3B and Brasero do perfectly fine. Not too much more to do with them accept add addtional features or App Candy as I call it...of course idk how they handle Blue-Ray as I never have own a blue ray player, burner hardware or even a blue ray disc.

for me- k3b has the same functionality as Nero4linux- there is nothing better than those programs (but the second one is commercial, but gtk2 based)
