Running Ubuntu 9.10 it's a upgrade from 9.04 it need to be reinstall, Can I reinstall 9.10 with out losing all my files in my home dir there are 2 user on this and it dual boot Xp:confused:

If you have a separate /home partition, yes. If not you'll need to backup your data to another drive first. There are a number of options for that. Here are some linux backup utilities (some are already in the repo's.):

You can also create a separate /home partition after Ubuntu is installed: http://www.psychocats.net/ubuntu/separatehome

Move your /home to a seperate partition
