Hello All,
I am building a system for the lab at my work that will have two monitors hooked up to it. Some of our software will only run in Windows, but we need low level access to hardware through Linux. My goal is to have Ubuntu and Windows XP running on separate screens, so the two environments feel completely independent, with the only common element being the keyboard and mouse. I have Windows installed using VirtualBox.

I am using a Geforce 210 video card that has two outputs. I currently have the setup configured for two separate X displays (:0.0 and :0.1). The problem that I am facing is that I would like to use Compiz as my WM for the "Linux only screen". This seems to present bizarre issues with the "Windows XP only screen", ranging from no display to correct mouse operation, but no keyboard input.

Has anybody ever attempted such a setup? Are there any known issues with my intended setup? Any hints on how I should set this up?

Thanks!
