Does gnome handle multiple desktop wallpapers yet?

I'm a KDE guy and was wondering if Gnome can now set different wallpaper background for multiple monitor configurations yet? If not is it in the cards for Ubuntu 10?

I have used the latest version of gnome but could not do that. I had to make a custom wallpaper to fit both screens.

Nope... although you can do it in GNOME by letting compiz draw the wallpaper.
