Wont detect hard drives in live cd or install

I am trying to install Ubuntu 9.10 and I cant get it to install at all. It wont detect my hard drives from the live cd or if I try to do install. I have tried sudo fdisk -l like i saw in a few other threads but it didnt do anything.

AMD Phenom 9550 X4
XFX nForce 750a
2x nVidia 9600GT
4 Hard drives all sata
