Slow download from medibuntu: Want to help.

Hello! I am currently downloading w32 codecs from medibuntu repository. the speed is 16KB/per second. (I'm downloading with firefox 3.5, from terminal via apt-get speed is the same) I am on virgin 50 mb, and last time I checked, the download speed is around 40-43 mbits/per second. Other repositories work fine. Apparently medibuntu guys having some trouble, and this is persistent because I found forum posts year old, with people complaining at the low speed of download.
I'm posting to find out if there is anything I can do to help? who is in charge of medibuntu?
