Ubuntu 9.10 + Windows 7, grub 1.97.

Is it possible to directly reboot Ubuntu to Windows, bypassing GRUB menu? (Such option was available in OpenSUSE some time ago.)

It is possible for Grub2 (http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=818177) or Grub (https://help.ubuntu.com/6.10/ubuntu/desktopguide/C/ch10s05.html) to make Windows the default OS. Is there any particular reason why you want to bypass grub?

The option would be nice. For example you have to boot into Windows and you have to do something else, you click boot into Windows and you save time as you don't have to be in front of your computer waiting for Grub and then selecting Windows.

See the links in my post.
