Hello,
I am trying to setup an Ubuntu Server using version 9.10.
Hardware Config:
1 - 160GB Drive - (Will be used as primary for Server OS, LAMP, DNS, Apache, File Sharing installs)
2 - 1 TB drives (Would like to setup RAID1 for the data storage)
I have installed Ubuntu Server 9.10 successfully on the 160GB drive using the entire drive for the primary partition. I am trying to setup the RAID1 on the 2 - 1TB drives but when I try to run the Ubuntu Live CD to check the configs of the drives they already show as RAID from the Hardware RAID controller, but it also show the availability of a third drive of 1 TB.
If I have a Hardware RAID1 already setup from the controller, would Ubuntu server see the drives as RAID 1 or would I need to do a Software RAID with the LVM? Also how would I do this?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
