Updating with wubi

I have installed ubuntu 9.10 in my xp system.
Do i have to take any special care while updating it with the update manager.
Because after updating ubuntu it asked for a reboot which i accepted, then it would not go beyond grub terminal.
Ubuntu has crashed i think.
this is my second experience of this type.
please help.

The original wubildr file had a bug in it. If you still want to use wubi, just download the new file from this link and replace the one you have in the partition where you installed wubi, for example C:\wubildr, D:\wubildr, etc.
