I am trying to install 9.10 on an HP Omnibook laptop and I am getting a terrible flickering and ghosting problem. It showed up immediately after I chose the option to Install Ubuntu (that first menu was displayed clearly). Throughout the installation, I saw the terrible ghosting and horizontal offset of the screen (making it difficult to enter time zones, etc.) assuming that after the reboot to the actual OS, it would clear up. It has not.
Any ideas out there?
P.S. The laptop was running Windows XP Pro just fine before this--no video problems at all.
