Hello guys,

I am using Compaq laptop AMD Athlon processor and I am facing lots of heating issue. Actually its ventilation window is at the bottom of the PC. SO I have to take this PC to service center after every 4 months for cleaning dust. I dont know How to open it.

What to do? any solution?

Get yourself an air duster aerosol & blow air through the vent, in normal direction, to blow dust out. With laptop switched off. Also good idea to hold fan still whilst doing so.
Do you leave laptop switched on all the time ??
Mine is on a lot & have never had any problems in 3 years ?
My sever needs cleaning out every 4 months, but that is on 24 x 7.

I think you should go for a service check up!!! Since recently one of my friend got affected with the same kind of problem with her lappy, as she use to leave it ON continuously. So , get a check up with the service professionals.

Thank dorothykinder and IcarusR
I asked service center guy, they said its a problem with all compaq model. They told me to get a cooling pad.

Exactly what I would expect with a laptop left on continiously !! Not designed to be run 24/7.

That's why I asked OP ....
