I have the same trouble on a MacBook Pro, every time I try to boot into it, it comes to the splash screen and text pops in at the bottom that says:

one or more of the mounts listed in /etc/fstab/cannot yet be mounted.
swap: waiting for UUID = (long series of numbers & letters here)
Press ESC to enter a recovery shell.
When I press escape it boots into (what seems to me) .19 linux kernel.

Is anyone else having this problem? How do we fix it?
