Hey everyone. i just got a new laptop, HP dv73183, has intel I5 core, dual 64-bit processors, and i also bought a new 128GB SSD drive for it.

Recently i installed ubuntu using the WUBI util, and it works Great!

My system also has a SDHC slot, and i have a spare 16GB card to use.

My question is does anyone have any suggestions or advice for installing ubuntu 9.10 on the SSD drive using Wubi, or should i just do a small install on the SDHC card?

thanks,

Deric Stowell

Hi,

I would recommend a fresh install. If your system supports booting off an SDHC, then you might as well be able to boot off it. If you do a fresh install, you'll have the ability to use the card elsewhere on a different system which supports booting off the SDHC. This is a cool thing.

Also be sure to install the 32 bit version as a 64bit version will create problems if it is shared with other systems which are of x86 architecture.
