I installed Ubuntu Netbook Remix to my Acer Aspire One D250 last night. I chose to dual-boot between Windows 7 and UNR. The installation completed just fine and I can boot into Windows 7 with no problems. However, when I go to boot into Ubuntu, I am greeted with a black screen and no attempt at even loading the OS. When I try to go to recovery mode, that works and I can get into the terminal. But I can't boot up into Ubuntu. Any ideas for fixing this?

Do you have any external SD plugged in ? If yes then unplug them or check the boot order of the drives.

No SDs are plugged in. I'm able to get to GRUB just fine, but when I select Ubuntu, it goes to black screen. Ironically enough, I'm able to go to recovery, type in startx and then I can see the GUI. However, Ubuntu runs painfully slow and gives a lot of error messages.
