So when you try to use other operating systems, you feel uncomfortable.
I know I'm addicted, I miss compiz in windows, I miss synaptic in feora/kubuntu, in OS X , I missed nautilus and the list goes on.

I wouldn't say that I'm addicted, as I could probably move over to some other distro fairly easily. However, I do feel very uncomfortable trying to work in Windows (or, God forbit, Mac OS).

As sad as it is - yes! No other OS i use feels as much like "home" as Ubuntu does. Ubuntu has shaped around me whereas i have to Shape around OS X or Windows (that's not to knock them for that, but it is what it is).

Nope, I'm definitely not addicted to Ubuntu, I'm really not, how could I be addicted to Ubuntu when I can also happily use Mint.....

(voted yes)

I used to be "addicted" to Ubuntu. Nothing felt right that wasn't Ubuntu.
Then I came along Arch.
Ubuntu will always have a place in my heart though and I do test 10.04 in VirtualBox. :D
Probably will dual boot when 10.04 comes out.

EDIT: Ahahaha. What am I saying? It's just an operating system. xD

i cant say I'm addicted but I do like it. I really notice the difference if I have to use Windows any more which thankfully is not often. More than that its been, and remains, a great learning experience which I'm really enjoying..

I'm definitely an addict. Got a couple friends addicted too.

One of my friends put it this way:
"At some point Windows went from being a worse operating system, but better because it was more popular, to being a significantly worse system." Now he uses Ubuntu for everything except for gaming and a few other miscellaneous things.

My name's Joey but I'm not an addict.

No, no really-really-really, listen listen, look...

I got in trouble with Ubuntu, right? Okay?

My lawyer told the judge that I'm an addict, but I'm not addicted to Ubuntu!

No, really-really. I'm not an addict.

I'm not. I'm not.

Can I get some more coffee?

(Paraphrased from Joey's AA meeting scene in the movie Hackers)

I thought I was clean and sober, but then I went on vacation and was forced to use a Windows computer to check email and purchase travel tickets. Talk about withdraw, UGHH. Now I travel with my Ubuntu netbook and life is good.

That "solution" is like contracting cancer to cure an addiction to oxygen.

Just because you're addicted, doesn't mean you need "cured" from it. ;)

Its interesting thread. I wouldn't say that I'm addicted to Ubuntu. I've been using it extensively for the past 7-8 months. I'm quite impressed, and I find myself more and more curious each day. But I would say I'm getting addicted to Ubuntuforums.org. When I start my browser at work or at home, or whatever, this is the first thing I check.... OMG, am I getting addicted to the forums? Does anyone have similar feeling?...

I for one am enjoying my addiction and do not wish for a "cure" lol Only using windows for gaming now. First thing when booting the laptop up is tapping the ol' Ubuntu selection and enjoying the ride.
