Just wondering because everything I need is just at the end of my cable wire, compared to MS and Apple where you need to buy disks for most of their applications?

To get any good storage amount on ubuntuOne, you need to pay a fee.

'tis why I use a flash drive.

I don't think you really understand what cloudcomputing means.

ChromeOS would be the ultimate cloudOS.

The operational system does not matter for cloud computing. It is only a wrapper between the hardware and the browser (the idea of Chrome OS is to merge OS and browser). Windows supports more hardware (or more hardware supports Windows), so it is still better even for cloud computing.
