I installed kubuntu onto my secondary drive witch was half full at the time of the installation. I used all the available space for the install. Now i have kubuntu installed and want to increase the linux partition. But GParted and Partition Ediditor show the resize button as inactive. I there something i am missing?

Which version of Windows are you using -- Vista? Win7?

If either of these, use the Vista/Win7 builtin Disk Management utility to shrink the Windows partition, not GParted.
