I am trying to install ubuntu 9.10 32-bit on my sisters laptop. Shes 16 and im sick and tired of having to fix her computer every couple of months because she just had to download the latest virus on windows XP. Anyway the problem im having is that every time i try to install ubuntu it crashes at 59%. ive tried a CD a DVD and a flash drive. its a Dell Inspiron 5100 so its a little older, but it boots live just fine, i can run ubuntu from the disk and flash drive i just cant install it.
