Will Ubuntu copy the window programs and files or lett me move what I want?

If you want to save programs/data/files make back up.If you want to install Ubuntu on top of Windows,Windows will be deleted.You can dual boot if you want to.

It is not very clear to me what you are trying to do. Can you please explain your setup in more detail? Please mention what kind of install you have done/are planning to do and what files you are trying to take a backup of?
