Hi every body, i am new in this forum. I used Linux before but i gave up, now i start again because i like it so much. i used Backtrack for testing security vulnerability, but i need to use Unbuntu, i instaled it and i installed a lot of package like aircrack-ng , wireshark and so on but i can't install the latest release of Kismet (kismet-2010-01-R1)
it allways install the old one i mean kismet-2008-05-R1, this is only for b monitoring and i need the new one for a lot of purpose and convenience. i decompressed with tar, but i could not do the rest of the operation
for make, make dep and suidinstall
i got the following error when i put make or make dep aferthe ./configure command

here are the errors:

No rule to make target `dep'. Stop

No targets specified and no makefile found. Stop.

Could someone help me please, thank you

Have you installed the package build-essentials? I also find that the package gdebi makes installs go easier.
