I just installed Xubuntu on my ancient ThinkPad x22 and it's working great mostly. Only issue so far is the gnome system monitor along with what seems like a pop-up app in the top right hand corner are showing up all garbled. Here's a screenshot:

I've tried changing the xfce theme, disabled anti-aliased fonts, uninstalled and reinstalled gnome system monitor, no dice. Dunno what else I can try.
