I've been using the dodge effect in Compiz, which makes windows move out from overlapping each other then back into position when you change focus, which is a pretty cool effect.
The problem is that, while it's an awesome effect for small windows, it looks really really really bad when one (or especially all- then it just looks buggy) of the windows are maximized.
However, as far as I know, there is no way to set a condition for weather or not a window is maximized or not. As far as I can tell, you can only get the type of window or it's function- things which are constant.
One workaround is to explicitly exclude windows which are normally maximized such as Evince and Firefox, but I would prefer a general solution.
So, my question is, is there a way to check in Compiz Fusion if a window is maximized or not or is there a patch or anything I can find to add this feature?
