Hi there ,
As i see there are some people having the same problem , as mine , applet says can not get laptop panel brightness , nor i can use fn+up or fn+down to adjust the brightness.
using fnwith f2 brings up battery info , f6 mutes sound, right or left arrow for sound and all these brings up indicator applet and shows me its working , but this brightness is killing me

its mentioned there is only workaround but any updates on this bug ?
this is a dual boot vista & ubuntu , at vista part these keys are ok .
