View Full Version : [ubuntu] Ubuntu try without install

ok im trying to use ubunto to get to my files because somehow the last update vista came with wrecked it.... and so i used imgburn and burned the iso to the cd and put it in my other pc that is messed up and tried to run it booted to the screen and i pressed the try without installing thing it loads and all that get to a part were the cursor is but then it just goes to a black screen. i never heard a drum beat and i tried ctrl alt f1 and it all does nuthin. i need sum serious help at the moment :/ also it seems that my cd drive stops too

Ok i checked to see if the cd was fine and it had an error on it, so i was wondering if anyone had instructions to try on a flash drive since i kinda ran out of cds :/

So what Ubuntu did you download, and at what speed did burn it at? If your computer will boot from a USB you can also load the Ubuntu ISO onto a thumb with unetbootin in Windows or Ubuntu.

well thats the thing i cant even go into windows, sumtime last night vista updated and when i woke up it was giving me errors and wouldnt even load up to windows

I just setup my flash drive but im notsure how to set up my bios to boot from the flash drive

i just tried that usb one you suggested but that didnt load up at all :/
