Have been running Ubuntu for a couple of months on a Lenovo T61 laptop. Suddenly, the monitor stopped working all together. Nothing at all when I turn it on. Assumed the monitor just went bad....unrelated to Ubuntu at all, but when I tried to plug in an external monitor, I only get the first few seconds (the ubuntu logo pops up) and then nothing at all.
Can someone let me know what could be going on? Is this something I can fix by getting a new monitor? Or is it something a lot more nefarious?
