I have searched various forums and only found advice in the most complicated of cases such as dual boots and multiple hard drives.

I have a simpler question.

Currently I have a Dell GX280 with an ATi graphics card which I am using as a media centre. I will soon be moving the hard drive this to an NVIDIA Ion Atom based system. Can I just move the hard drive? Should I uninstall the ATi graphics first?

Anything else I should do?

I would appreciate some input, thanks.

I would just move the drive, if it works then great and if it doesn't at least you have a starting point for what needs to be done to make it work.

I guess I can always take a backup, I was hoping this upgrade would be easy.

Thanks for your reply

Yes, remove the ATI driver first. There are still no guarantees.
