Hello,

Can anyone tell me what package(s)/services control the lock screen function. I had an acidental GDM/Gnome meltdown the other day when a bunch of packages got removed ( gnome desktop..etc ). Got all that back, but now my Lock screen doesn't work anymore and my screen saver doesn't automagically come on.

Possibly missed re-install of the package that controls Lock/screen saver? need to keep my kids off my ubuntu machine. any ideas? when I hit the lock button, does nothing.. tried to find where the launcher is /sbin/locksomething..etc

My screen savers can be previewed and work, but never kick in automatically. Thanks in advance.

got it.. re-installed package gnome-screensaver and juggled the command around a few times and it fixed it.
