I recently just finished building an am3 based pc

3.2Ghz Am3 quad core phenom II
Asrock m3a785gmh/128 Am3 motherboard
3Gb 1333mhz ddr3
512mb ati hd4770 ddr3 Dx10/opengl graphics card
500w psu
Maxtor 240Gb hard disk
liteOn ihas120 dvd burner.

All for under £250

I've noticed others on this forum complaining (and quite rightly so) that it is difficult to buy a pc without Microsoft Windows.
I know many on this forums are capable of building their own PC's.

What I'm wondering is, would other people be interested in buying a custom built pc (like mine) with Ubuntu pre-installed from ebay?

I don't have an ebay shop (yet) I'm just curious?
thanks.

I'd rather just build it myself and go from there.

novatech hd4770

Swap that out for a decent Nvidia card and I would probably buy one.

Systems nowadays should really come with 640+ GB drives. Considering how cheap the 1 TB drives are getting (around $80 US), there's no reason not to have more space.

The card is a novatech hd4770 with 512mb ddr3.
I think it is a rebranded msi. not sure? anyway easily replaced.

Nvidia cards are probably a better idea for linux (drivers).
If someone would be willing to pay, they can choose whatever card they like.

I was also thinking that maybe I should pre-install dual boot setups with windows/ubuntu?

I would like to build ubuntu PC's at near cost price and maybe sell them on ebay to UK Ubuntu forum members in private buyitnow auctions. As for non forum members well....

I build pc's for my hobby anyway. keeps me busy.

What do you think? Good Idea? Bad Idea?
Thanks for your comments guys/gals.
