hi everyone im new at the forums and i registered cause i have ubuntu installed as an os on my netbook and am learning how to use it. i really like it so far and of course it came preinstalled with python so :D im happy lol. :KS only thing is this is my programming language to learn and its just i feel like im just so lousy at it. i can take a look at a compiled code and see i really understand it.. but then the simplest code idk if it is because im tired or what but im having trouble writing. ive been at this for about 2 weeks in all. has anyone else just been really frustrated with coding and just wanted to jump to their death lol. encouragments much welcomed  and nice ot meet you all..would you like some popcorn lol..

Dude, frustration is a day to day occurrence at work. Just keep trying and all that frustration you feel now will only make the success that much sweeter in the future.

Don't give up and ask for help when you need it, even if you think it's a stupid question (IMHO there's no such thing as a stupid question).

Good luck!!

Agreed! Everyone's been there, but the chase is part of the appeal if you ask me.

Reading/understanding is the easy bit. Learning to speak/write a language takes years. It's all part of the natural process if you find yourself blurting out jibberish as a toddler asking for more cake.

I wonder if you genuinely got the joke :) Why is the programmer called "lazy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lazy_evaluation)"?

Those sorts of jokes are brilliant as they take a lot of insight to write, and are a kind of test of the reader... "at how many points, do you understand why this is funny"? :)
