I downloaded & intalled the alpha2 version of Ubuntu 10.04. Then upon restarting, my computer could not load XWindowns. I know JUST want to put Ubuntu 9.10 back onto my machine, but after creating the USB stick image file, upon restarting the machine from the terminal mode, it does not load from the USB drive, inspite of that being set as the default in the BIOS settings. I need help - I do not know or want to operate in terminal mode.........

Thanks,

I have downlaoded the .iso of Ubuntu 9.10 onto a friend's computer & converted it into an .img file, then tried to boot my netbook from that. However, I now get the error: Disk /dev/sdb doesn;t contain a valid partition table. So, now what should I do?
