View Full Version : distorded video when transconding

Ive got a little problem when I transcode recorded shows.
When looking at the nuv-files in VLC there's som distortions that bothers me.

Dont know where the problem is but it doesnt show when looking in MythTv.

Running MythTv 0.22 on mythbuntu 9.10
Hauppage pvr-350

All help appreciated!

if it works fine in mythtv but not vlc, that would indicate it's something with vlc. Try upgrading to the most recent version and see if that helps

forgot to write it but Im running MPEG4-transcoding with a bitrate of 22000 (tried diffrent bitrate but same result).

Ill try get the latest or try another player (myth internal, why didnt I thought of that...)

When transcoding "inside" MythTv is there a way to move the metadata to the video-file? (or is it done by default, havnt checked)

got the latest vlc and also tried looking with mythtv internal player and it looked like crap. :(

Must be something with the transcoding, since the original looks fine.

you have to ask yourself why you are transcoding. Quality will suffer. Disk space is cheap.
