Trying to BOOT from Live CD

I cannot get past the login screen. I tried entering through it but that fails, it keeps returning me to the login. Is there a generic login for the Live CD to test drive UBUNTU?

Trying to login using ubuntu failed. So I tried entering passed the login screen, tried using Guest w/o a password, Guest with passwprd password and with ubuntu / ubuntu.

Nothing has gotten me passed the login. Any other suggestion for trying the LIVE CD?

There is no password for the LIve CD. Instead of running it, go down to 'Check Disk for errors'. I suspect a bad burn, download, or other problem.
