I am trying to install ubuntu from an iso disk on a laptop with windows xp. When i put the disk in an try to boot from it, nothing happens.
When I try to get help with the book from the installation cd, it says permission denied.
What do i do? I want Ubuntu on my computer!!!:(

Hi
I advice you to burn the .iso image on a CD at 4x speed. After burning please check the integrity of the CD by checking it with checksum.
Hope your CD drive is fine.

During installation it asks for at least one username and password to be created. You must have created one.
