Hi Guys,

I'm very new to Linux, and as such have found myself in a position on a coupl eof occasions whereby I've felt the need to do a complete re-install and start from scratch, which in itself is no bad thing, you learn from your mistakes and all that.

But there are certain things, running update manager for example, that I have to re-do each time, as well as running through the Multimedia setup tutorial that is on these forums, so although I'm ok with starting from scratch at the moment, it is a little laborious to have to keep repeating these steps. Is there a way to take a snapshot/image/system restore point when I get to a point where I'm heading into the unknown and the risk of having to do a re-install becomes more likely?

I'm running the latest version from the website at the moment.

THanks
