At times the desktop on my laptop keeps refreshing. The screen blinks for 1-2 seconds and then restores. While blinking the display does not blank, but the window contents disappear and only the borders remain.
I have tried to observe when it happens, but could not find a particular pattern. Earlier I suspected three things:
1) When openoffice is running
2) When Firefox is running some flash application
3) When I have disconnected the laptop from a projector
However this was happening otherwise also. Now i'm without a clue why it happens.
Machine details: Compaq nx 6110 laptop. Pentium(R) M processor 1.73GHz. 1.25 GB RAM.
