Hi All,

I have recently just installed UBR 9.10 on my acer aspire one.
ran into some issues connecting to the internet but have all been fixed now (hadn't disabled ivp6, kicking myself in the head for not figuring it out earlier)

anyway, as soon as that problem had been fixed (can access the internet now fine through firefox) another had arisen.
i found that i couldnt download anything through the ubuntu software center, update the system through update manager, or even download anything through terminal.

sudo apt-get update

sudo apt-get install amarok

etc

i have no idea what is going on and am hoping somewhere out there does!

thanks, all suggestions welcome

Not sure I can really help other that to suggest trying another mirror and see if you can download from there.

System --> Administration --> Software Sources

Hope that sorts it for you.

Hi,

apt-get uses the file /etc/apt/sources.list to find the repository,
if the network is present and working correctly.
The file is present and correct?
This is my one which works correctly
