I have a Dell Latitude D520 on a docking station. I have a 17 inch external monitor on a DVI port.
If I have both displays mirroring, everything works great.
If I try to unmirror with both screens on, the system locks up.
If I try to unmirror with the external monitor only on, everything works fine.
If I try to unmirror with the laptop screen only on, everything works fine.
If I try to unmirror with the external monitor only on, and I try to close my laptop screen, the system locks up
I am running Ubuntu 9.10, GNOME 2.28.1
This happens if I use System -> Preferences -> Display or grandr to configure.
Any ideas?
