The internet will evolve. It'll never become obsolete, it will just have new interfaces.

But no one else does.
:lolflag:

Eventually everything will be networked. Even humans shall have their own IP addresses.

I'll refer to myself as 127.0.0.1

What do you mean by the 'internet', as in 'web browsing/different components or parts' or 'networking'?

Networking - No
Web Browsing - Yes
Different Components and Parts - Yes

Newer and more efficient components will take over our current existing, similar to how newsgroups have died. But networking, won't.

You have to ask your self "What is the Internet?" It's just the name given to the hardware that connects us all together. The way the info is transported might become obsolete, but the Internet will never be.

I'm still waiting for IPv4 to become obsolete.

Save for some sort of telepathic technology or new medium for the exchange and storage of information, I believe the Internet is the closest thing to instant information we can get and therefore will never become obsolete.

I wonder......

The internet is in your mind.
We're all only voices in your wired brain.
You're asking this question to yourself.
You're answering yourself.
This is me, this is you.

WOW what a twisted response lol

The idea of the internet will never die unless we experience a massive war that consumes the planet. Even then there might still exit remains of the internet. The internet is simply the interconnection of multiple servers constantly sending and receiving information.

I think the internet will evolve as we do. And take on new forms. I always wonder what type of language the future internet will be written in? How will we interact with it? When will we reach the singularity?

But in all honesty i cant picture the internet becoming obsolete.

Everything will eventually become obsolete and irrelevant. On an unrelated note Michael Crichton once wrote that the Internet will be the doom of our species.

lol, i think "Booooooooyah" qualifies in this respect.

The Internet won't die. Despite what the US government thinks would happen in a cyber-doomsday scenario.
