I tried to set up the server edition on my old PC but when it came to install the kernal it said "No Installable Kernal". I downloaded the 32-bit 9.10 off of the website.

Any ideas what I have done wrong?

PS Also had this problem installing Desktop 9.10 Alt CD

Download same iso with torrent and point download to the place where your existing iso is.Torrent will just check your iso for bad files and replace them with good ones. After that read this. (https://help.ubuntu.com/community/BurningIsoHowto)

Just tried 8.04 LTS and the same problem, checked download and done a MD5 hash check and the file looks intact.
"No installable kernal was found in the defined APT sources."
