android debug bridge help

hi all,

I'm attempting to install the android debug bridge on 9.10 so I can manage some hacks on my motorola droid. I've already rooted it now just need the adb to complete some stuff.

Does anyway have any idea how to install and manage the android SDK stuff?

In the past I've had success adding the entry to /etc/udev.d for the USB id of the phone, but with 9.10 it no longer seems to work. I've only been able to use adb by starting it as root.
