Okay, I'm running Ubuntu 9.10, and just to see if it would look right on my new monitor (Acer 15.6", 1366x768 widescreen :D), I installed the Kubuntu desktop as well. It's great, but when I log in to GNOME, my mouse pointer stays as the KDE default. Is there a way to get the mouse pointer back to the default with GNOME and GDM?

install galternatives and run it:

sudo apt-get install galternatives
sudo galternatives
find x-cursor-theme on the left panel, then select the option DMZ-white
