View Full Version : [ubuntu] Installation Errors from ISO Disc

I'm really new to this. I just wiped my XP Computer which got BSOD. I burned a copy of an Ubuntu ISO (Karmic, if I'm not mistake) on to a 700mb/80min CD-R using Infra Recorder (as instructed by Ubuntu.com). I set my computer to boot from the CD and popped in my Boot Disc.

It worked so far. When it opens up the Ubuntu Disc's menu, I select a language and get to the boot menu. If I choose anything, it freezes. Every few seconds, the Computer makes sounds as if the CD Drive is gonna start spinning and working. Then it stops. If you are wondering, it gets stuck at this screen:

I'm not sure if that is the exact version I'm using, but the screens are identical.
