when i reboot through recovery the recovery menu appear
and briefly on line on it says
revovery - normal reboot
this changes to
/dev/sda7: 314 files, x/y clusters
and I cannot move up or down off this
ctrl Alt F2 just bring up a flickering cursor
Needless to say I cannot get to ubuntu login screen hence the recovery route
